WELCOME to the Pikeville Area Family YMCA
The Pikeville Area Family YMCA is devoted to changing lives through building and strengthening relationships. This commitment, shared by staff, volunteers, and donors is focused on youth development, healthy living, and encouraging social responsibility. So, if you would like to shed a few pounds, or just shoot some hoops, or would like to have your child enrolled in a good sports environment where teaching sports fundamentals is our main goal then the Pikeville Area Family YMCA is the place for you.

Spring Youth Basketball & Cheerleading
Forget to sign up, nows your chance, weve opened a late registeration period until January 30th, 2012. After that date we will not be taking any more registerations. So if you would like to register a child for our YMCA Youth Basketball or Cheerleading programs, you may want to stop by and see us today. Just a reminder; both basketball and cheerleading programs are for boys and girls ages 3-12. Reminder: The last day to register a child is January 30th, 2012. The cost for registration is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for Non YMCA members; every child gets a YMCA basketball/cheerleading shirt, and the last game each child gets a trophy for participating in the YMCA youth basketball/cheerleading league. Youth Fitness
We are currently taking registration for our Youth Fitness program. The program is open for boys and girls ages 11-14. The program includes a warm up as well as exercises that help build flexibility, strength, and coordination. It teaches kids how to have fun while still remaining active. If you would like to register for our Youth Fitness program stop by the Pikeville Area Family YMCA. The cost for the program is $20 for YMCA members and $35 for participants. Registration continues through January 11th, 2012. The first class is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012. For more information please call the Pikeville Area Family YMCA.

ZumbaAtomic
We are currently taking registrations for our ZumbAtomic class for kids. With its high energy and easy to follow steps, kids are guaranteed a great aerobic workout while having tons of fun. We have two ages groups available; Little Starz (ages 4-7) and Big Starz (ages 8-14). If you would like to register for our ZumbAtomic program, stop by and see us at the Pikeville Area Family YMCA. The cost for the program is $20 for YMCA members and $35 for participants. Registration continues through January 11th, 2012 and the first class is scheduled to begin Wednesday; January 11th, 2012. Spring Youth Soccer
Spring is just right around the corner, you know what that means. Spring soccer is almost here. The program itinerary includes teaching basic soccer fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, defending, ball control, throw-ins, goal and penalty kicks, and more. Soccer is for both boys and girls ages 3-12. All games and practices take place at Northpoint Academy (the Old Mullins School) along US 23. Registration begins January 30th, 2012 and continues through March 12th, 2012. The cost of the program is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for participants. Xtreme Martial Arts
We are currently taking registrations for our Xtreme Martial Arts (Karate) class. Instructor Britt Potter brings his years of succesful experience which includes: a 6^th Dan in Ryukyu Kempo, and a black belt in Shaolin-Do to the Pikeville YMCA for a class that has to be experienced. The Xtreme Martial Arts class combines discipline, fitness, skills; all while building self confidence, coordination, and motor skills in a nurturing and fun environment. The class is for boys and girls ages 5 and up. The class meets once a week for four (4) weeks. New class sessions begin the first Thursday of each month, the cost of the class is $50 for YMCA members and $65 for participants. For more information please call the Pikeville Area Family YMCA.
