WELCOME to the Pikeville Area Family YMCA
The Pikeville Area Family YMCA is devoted to changing lives through building and strengthening relationships. This commitment, shared by staff, volunteers, and donors is focused on youth development, healthy living, and encouraging social responsibility. So, if you would like to shed a few pounds, or just shoot some hoops, or would like to have your child enrolled in a good sports environment where teaching sports fundamentals is our main goal then the Pikeville Area Family YMCA is the place for you.

Memorial Day 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
Do you have what it takes to compete in a 5K or 1 Mile Walk. Then come out and participate in the Pikeville Area YMCA Memorial Day 5K and 1 Mile Walk on May 19th, 2012. Awards will be given to th following finishers: Top 3 male and female participants overall (trophies), top two male and female participants of age divisions (medals), top participant in wheelchair division, top 3 male and female walkers, youngest and oldest finishers. Pikeville Area YMCA Co-Ed Volleyball League
Volleyball anyone? It's that time again when the Pikeville Area YMCA brings back its annual Co-Ed Volleyball League. The Adult Volleyball League is open for individuals ages 15 and up. Each team can have up to twelve players per team. All games are played on Monday evenings; with open gym for practices on Fridays. Registration is $150 per team, and regiustration ends Sunday, May 13th, 2012. Games will begin May 14th. Anyone who is interested in registering a team can call the Pikeville Area Family YMCA for more information.

T-Ball & Coach Pitch Baseball
Maybe Soccer isn't for you, dont forget about one of our other great programs such as our T-Ball/ Coach Pitch Baseball program. Registration begins February 6th, 2012 and continues through May 7th, 2012. The program itinerary includes teaching basic baseball fundamentals such as hitting, catching/grounding balls, throwing and much more. Our T-Ball & Coach Pitch Baseball programs are for both boys and girls ages 3-10. All T-Ball games and practices take place at Northpoint Academy (the old Mullins School) along US 23. All Coach Pitch practices take place at Northpoint Academy, while games take place at University of Pikeville softball field beside Big Sandy Community & Technical College. The cost of our T-Ball & Coach Pitch Programs is $30 for YMCA members and $45 for participants. Paintball at the Pikeville YMCA
Are you ready for paintball; beginning March 3rd, 2012 will be the recreational paintball games at the Pikeville Area Family YMCA. Come and enjoy all the fast paced, adrenaline filled action in our new state of the art paintball field, which features 29 multi-shaped inflatable smart bunkers. Whether you're a first time player or a seasoned pro you're guaranteed to have a blast. Paintball markers and all safety equipment are available for rent. Paintball is for ages 10 and up. Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp
Come out and experience the largest and most popular camp program in the USA and Canada! The camp will be held at the Northpoint Academy (the old Mullins School) along US 23. The dates for the camp are June 4th - 8th, various age groups are available and spaces will be limited. Camp also includes a FREE ball/t-shirt/poster, and evaluation. Youth Fitness
We are currently taking registration for our Youth Fitness program. The program is open for boys and girls ages 11-14. The program includes a warm up as well as exercises that help build flexibility, strength, and coordination. It teaches kids how to have fun while still remaining active. If you would like to register for our Youth Fitness program stop by the Pikeville Area Family YMCA. The cost for the program is $20 for YMCA members and $35 for participants. Xtreme Martial Arts
We are currently taking registrations for our Xtreme Martial Arts (Karate) class. Instructor Britt Potter brings his years of succesful experience which includes: a 6th Dan in Ryukyu Kempo, and a black belt in Shaolin-Do to the Pikeville YMCA for a class that has to be experienced. The Xtreme Martial Arts class combines discipline, fitness, skills; all while building self confidence, coordination, and motor skills in a nurturing and fun environment. The class is for boys and girls ages 5 and up. The class meets once a week for four (4) weeks. New class sessions begin the first Thursday of each month, the cost of the class is $50 for YMCA members and $65 for participants. For more information please call the Pikeville Area Family YMCA.
